Chrisette’s humble beginnings as a featured vocalist started as a young child growing up in rural, Southern Minnesota. She was part of an enduring family singing ensemble that included her six siblings and Mom at the piano. And as she grew, so did her passion for music.
Today, Chrisette’s jazzy, sultry tones have been compared to both classic and contemporary artists including Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Karen Carpenter, and Norah Jones.
Although she has been performing in and beyond the Twin Cities for 17 years, she recently picked up the mic at the Open Jazz Jam at Crooners and caught the attention of club owner Larry Dunsmore who remarked in his own, inimitable way, “Discovering your talent is rather akin to seeing a new comet for the first time.”
