Well, here we are almost at the end of our first month of being open and we felt this momentous occasion could not slip by without a word from Mary Tjosvold and Larry Dunsmore, owners of the extraordinary Crooners Lounge and Supper Club. We had hoped that to realize our vision of an elegant romantic venue with first class dining and entertainment verging on the Sinatra, jazz, swing era of the 50’s and 60’s in keeping with the unique supper clubs would appeal to an audience trying to escape loud rock music and sports bars with TV screens everywhere but nothing prepared us for how successful this vision would be. We are delighted with a full to capacity restaurant each weekend, often even midweek too and Crooners Bar with music during our Happy Hour of 4.00pm-6.30pm and evening entertainment from 7.00pm-10.00pm. And remember, there is no cover charge for any of our first class entertainment.

Keep checking back especially for our New Year’s special that has a specially created a la carte or set menu plus free champagne and our legendary dessert bar and not forgetting no less than 3 entertainments. From England, the phenomenal international vocalist Maria Dunsmore who has performed on the legendary Cunard liners - the Queen Mary II, the QE2. She has worked with Barry Manilow, Debbie Reynolds, Neil Sedaka and more recently with Paul McCartney at his academy in Liverpool, England LIPA where she was presented by Sir Paul the rare Beatles Award for 2012. Maria will be accompanied at Crooners by one of our favorite bands, the Jason Weismann Quartet who will also feature on NYE. From his piano, hosting the evening with his usual acerbic wit, the epitome of a Crooner himself will be Larry Dunsmore.

A special thank you to our incredible crew who turned this into a reality. Bill King, Brian Connell, Kevin Robicheau, Tony Panelli, Ashley Hayes, Duke, Greg, Ivy, Terry, Johnny, Mary and all of our outstanding staff who keep our dream alive every day.

And big exciting things will be coming along in the New Year. Sunday brunch, even more entertainment with open mic nights featuring music and comedy, a weekly jazz jam session, a quiz night and watch out for Laraoke night - a ruthless but hilarious twist on karaoke! And watch this space as there is a rumor that such is the success of our wonderful food, we have been inundated by requests for us to open for lunches too!

So a huge thank you to all our regulars and new friends and we know you will love the atmosphere we have created at one of the loveliest restaurants in the Twin Cities.

Seasonal greetings to you all.
